As a PhD student interested in the intersection between planetary surfaces and mission science, I use THEMIS data to create rock abundance and thermal inertia maps of Mars. Before coming to NAU, I used thermal techniques to detect lunar lava tubes and HiRISE imagery to investigate landslides and other surface features on Mars.
